From reducing waste and improving energy efficiency to supporting local suppliers and investing in greener technology, these initiatives highlight some of the practical steps we are taking to reduce our environmental impact and operate more responsibly.
Green Rooms Initiative
Guests can choose to opt out of daily housekeeping during their stay. For every room that stays “green”, we donate £5 to our charity partners, helping reduce energy and water use while supporting important causes.
Zero Waste to Landfill
All McKeever Hotels operate a zero waste to landfill policy, ensuring waste is responsibly managed through recycling and recovery programmes.
EV Charging Across Our Hotels
Electric vehicle charging points are available across 6 McKeever Hotels properties, supporting guests travelling with electric vehicles and encouraging more sustainable transport choices.
Solar Energy Investment
Solar panels have been installed at Dunadry Hotel & Gardens and Dunsilly Hotel, with further renewable energy investment planned across the hotel collection.
Energy Efficient LED Lighting
LED lighting has been installed throughout all McKeever Hotels, helping reduce energy consumption while improving efficiency across our buildings.
Comprehensive Recycling Programme
We operate an extensive recycling programme across all hotels, separating glass, cardboard, paper and food waste to minimise environmental impact.
Supporting Local Suppliers
We prioritise local suppliers wherever possible, helping reduce transportation emissions while supporting local farmers, producers and businesses.
